HEY GUYS! Welcome to D.I.Y Wednesdays. Today we have a fantastic recipe for tofu lovers! If you are vegan you can skip the eggs-

You actually don't have to bread or fry the tofu at all, I just enjoy the texture it gives the tofu.

Anyways, lets get started!

Firm Tofu

2 eggs

1 Cup of Flour

¼ cup soy sauce

3 tbsp rice vinegar

1 tbsp chili garlic sauce

1 tbsp sugar

1 cup vegetable broth

¼ cup ketchup

½ tsp sesame oil

2 tbsp of starch

2 tbsp of water

Red Pepper

Green Pepper

Cut tofu into preferred shape.

Mix 2 eggs in a separate bowl.

Oil pan with preferred oil (I used veggie oil for this)

Cover tofu with flour

Put covered tofu in separate bowl, then cover with egg.

Make sure tofu is covered with egg well, then put in pan.

Let tofu fry until golden, then let dry on paper towel.

Start sauce by putting sesame seed oil a pan. Add optional veggies of your choice! Let cook, then in a bowl mix all ingredients together. Optional: Toast sesame seeds and add to sauce.

Add sauce to pan.

Turn down heat and let simmer.

Add tofu, lightly mix in sauce then cover with top.

Let simmer and cook for 10-20 minutes (or when veggies are tender and sauce has thickened)

Plate & Enjoy!
