Smoothie Morning Bowl! DIY WEDNESDAYS!

Is this a trend for me now? Yeah, probably! I've been eating a lot of my breakfast and dinner foods in a bowl! I find it easy to set up and I can control my portion sizes.

In the morning, I usually prefer something green if its in a smoothie. However I went to the farmers market and saw packs of fresh picked strawberries for 99 cents and they also had dried kiwi! How could I pass that up? So, I made an easy breakfast fruit bowl for the mornings.

This is perfect for when you have a busy morning, but you want to eat something healthy and nutritious!

I always have a bag of frozen strawberry and banana blend for smoothies! If you don't have a frozen bag of fruit you can use fresh strawberries and bananas, just add ice in the blender to make it more of a smoothie. You can also use raspberries, mango, pineapple, peach and the fruits! Dark fruits like blackberries and blueberries are full of antioxidants, so those will be best!

Ingredients:

  • 1 Tablespoon of chia seeds

  • 1/3 cup of frozen strawberries

  • Half a banana or 1/4 cup of frozen banana

  • 1 tablespoon of honey

  • Unsweetened Almond Milk

Toppings Optional:

Dried Kiwi

Fresh Strawberries

Granola

Blend ingredients together, adjust amount of almond milk to the thickness you want your base. Don't worry, if you make it too thin, it can be a smoothie!

Pour in your favorite bowl and put the bowl in the freezer or fridge while you cut your toppings.

The last but fun part is to decorate it how you like!
